Fiats, Roma & lost in Umbria

photo 4

I have always been a die hard francophile but the abundance of classical architecture, fabulous food and days of perfectly pitched late summer, early autumn weather in Italy are winning me over…..!

After some very busy days in Rome, we drove onto Umbria where towns founded in the 12th & 13th century like Bevagna, Spello, Assisi & Montefalco are so pretty they look like a movie set. Timeless architecture, sun drenched colours lime washed onto buildings and beautiful doors and shutters…..oh and did I mention the food, spaghetti with black truffles!

Ciao!
