Spring, colour & Indian inspiration…
We wanted to shine the light on some of our beautiful pieces from India as we think about heading there in the coming months… The inspiration for the Spring window was the lovely teak antique swing seat, perfect for wiling away a few afternoons as the days gradually become warmer…& a small collection of terracotta pots made in Italy that we sourced on our last buying trip to France.
We love going to India , the colours are so vibrant – such a contrast to France in so many ways. However, just like buying in Europe you need time, and a good set of eyes to find the treasures amongst acres of junk and often poorly made pieces – but for us that’s the challenge of the journey….bringing home the booty!
Speaking of colours , I’m loving my new little Lumix GF3 , a compact DSLR,( its not an ad – I bought it) it has wonderful colour rendition & i’m looking forward to capturing some of the the life and colour on the road in India.
& for a taste of India visit Braja’s blog ~ Lost & Found in India.…
Love to travel & love to fly, the colours can be great up in the sky…have a great week!

I was in India in 1970 and loved it more than any other country I have visited. How can I persuade my staid husband it is not all poverty and smells?!!
just book the tickets and take him along for the ride…we are on our way home now, its still a fascinating place!
Love your blog and this post – such colour!
