Winter time in France….

The long days of summer that we left behind feel very distant at the moment –  the incredibly short winter days in Europe are a good reminder of how lucky we are to have such a warm temperatures for many months of the year!

finding French antiques….

Buying antiques in this weather can make for some hasty decisions – i hope I will like it when the new shipment arrives! The winter scenery, old shop fronts & country vistas make up for the low temperature readings on the car dashboard…

Along the way there is always time to savour achingly good buttery pastries and lots of hot chocolates … the Galette de Roi, is a popular sweet/cake baked and eaten in the Christmas season.

As we return to Paris to take flights home, i savour the daily walk to the metro or to the Marais & catch up with friends at an old favourite in the 11th..  Cafe De L’Industrie

Until next trip, when i walk on these floors again… au revoir France!
